I few thoughts from Mr. Ferland.
Dee and Jim's wedding rocked. Table 18 was way legal. The placement near the bar was great and the arrangement of people and personalities just out right ROCKED (there's that word again). I have never had so much fun during dinner, at a wedding, as I did that night. We discussed topics ranging from "little blue pills" to "Sports Mom's and Dad's" (Yes, Peggy, "That's Bullshit", I know.)
So, at one point when I had a nice buzz going.....ok..ok... Let me rephrase
Haywood was talking about how his son ripped the HOME RUN WINNER in Regionals and how proud he was of him, getting all choked up in the stands. Mr. D, in a quiet but "I feel you DOG" type voice, told him about his son Steve. Steve was a linemen and had recovered a fumble and "RUMBLIN STUMBLIN" to the end zone actually scored a TD. Mr. D: "It brought tears to my eyes.".
So, of course I am accross the table listening to all this and (there were other conversations going but I focused in on this one, mainly so I could tell it later to Mr. D's sons) I felt the need to to jump in becasue I felt an "embrace" hanging in the balance. Seriously, I thought I was going to witness it. So, I immediatly burst out "WHAT"S UP NOW TABLE 17!"........ and with that, Haywood stood up and in a crackling voice (you know, because of the emotion) piled on with "Wha--Wha-Whaat's UP Now 17..
Now, I am not sure but I think I did the right thing.
So... Mr. Beer.....
Do you have a story to tell us? Maybe something about looking good on tv?
Jim and I decided to play Bingo on the last day of the cruise. It was 10:30 am on a "day at sea" so a ton of people showed up - nothing else to do! It was a quick game - one game, one winner. The winner won a 3,4,5 or 7 day Carnival cruise.
We're playing and it's not looking too good for me. Jim leans over and says, "I only need I-20". The next ball comes up and the lady says, "I-twenty" and Jim and I hold our breath as we wait for the rest of the number. 23? 26? NOPE! Just I-20!!!! Jim totally won a free cruise! ROCK!
So within the next year, we get to go on another cruise. We can't go during Christmas or New Years, but that's it. We pay taxes (which were about $75 for this cruise) and airfare. It's an ocean view room too, so not bad! Once we decide when and where to go, we'll let everyone know. It would be super fun to get a group of people to go!
"Its a hot one."
Well, thats what I hear. The AC is kicking here though - nice and cool.
yes it was postponed
write your haiku this friday
dee on honeymoon
So, back to shoes full of something.
I said I had another story - so here it is. When I was younger I went over my Buddy's house for a sleepover in the winter. He had an ice rink in his backyard and it was gonna be super fun. I had my rubber boots on and came inside cus I didn't feel good. I was sitting on the couch, had my coat and boots off when his mom came in. I got sick and puked right into my boot. One boot full of puke. None on the carpet though!
She washed my boot out and called my mom. I went home and puked out the window on the drive home.
Boot full of puke - funny.
So, I gave my dog a beef soup bone the other day. Somehow she managed to get an upset stomach from it. She has had em before so I don't quite understand, but I digress.
When I got home there was a smell and she had a "I'm Sorry" look on her face. I let her out and went to hunt down the smell. Of course she went in the only carpeted room in the house. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it) she pooped %90 in a shoe. Thats right, soft serve filled shoe. My brand new only wore 2 times shoes. Less poo on the floor though.
After a long carpet cleaning session I decided the shoes were lost (the 2nd shoe had some in it too). Shoe full of poo. Shoes full of something are funny. Do you have any "Shoe full of..." stories? I actually have one more, but I'll post it later.
So, I went to the bathroom today and discovered my underwear to be inside out.
They appear to still be functioning normally though. I let them remain in their current state. We'll see how this pans out. I'm not sure what caused this problem - though I suspect it to be the "tagless" feature of Hanes that had confused me.
This could be a new fad - give it a try! Maybe the rotation will extend the life of the garment?
I'm thinking of postponing HK Friday a week since I'll be out friday as well. Whats everyone think? It is Deez Wedding and all, kinda like a holiday!
Rock
I'm out of here at 11:30 - 20 more minutes from the time of posting! Whoo hoo!
Please take good care of the rabbit - I expect to see some new posts when I get back on the 28th.
FYI - This Friday is Haiku Friday. I won't be able to participate, so I thought I'd leave one now (if that's okay):
Dee's getting married!
Super fun cruise will follow.
See you in a few!
The automaticrabbit.com founder turns 29 today!
And we all know that 29 is basically 30, which is basically 40, which means....Todd is old.
Happy Birthday!
I like to keep my email Inbox at around 50 messages. Anything more gets too confusing. I have a zillion folders, so I just keep filing messages to stay at a happy Inbox. I noticed the other day that I was up to 150. Way too high! So I started cleaning and filing. I managed to finish up 2 big projects for a client yesterday, so I was able to remove a lot of emails. I ended up down to.............................................0! Yes, that's right! 0 messages. Everything had been replied to and safely filed away.
Mike decided this was wrong and sent me a message with strict orders that it remain in the Inbox. So, now I'm at 1. Still not bad!
When I get back from the honeymoon, I'm sure it'll be ridiculously full, so I'm just trying to keep it clean for today and tomorrow.
I'm back people - outta the hospital and super fresh.
Not quite running at full capacity yet, but I'm getting there. I'm sure most have gotten the gory details or will shortly, so I won't write them all out here.
Basically, shouldn't happen again and eat more fiber. We'll see how it goes!
Thanks for all the kind thoughts everyone!
Anyone watch the game last night? So good! It ruined my plans of going to bed early, but that's okay. It was worth it! Amazingly, I still managed to get here before 7:30 today!
Haywood - how did the big baseball game go on Friday?
Now here is a friday treat for you all!
That should combat some of our lameness. Enjoy!
... brought to you by: "Two Guys Drunk on a Thursday Web Development"
A friend of mine had some free passes to see "Lords of Dogtown" on Tuesday night. A few of us decided to go - after all, it was free!
Mike and Jim went on and on about how lame it would be because it's a skateboarding movie: "Didn't they already make that movie? Isn't it called 'Gleaming the Cube'?" I, for one, liked "Gleaming the Cube"! Plus, it was free!
Turns out, the movie's pretty good. I always enjoy a good "based on a true story" movie! It's a good movie to watch when you don't want to do a lot of thinking. No need to try to figure out the ending or solve a mystery! After a long day at work, sometimes you just want to watch something simple and enjoy it. I recommend it.
