First Car

I was driving to work this morning. Sitting in traffic behind a faded red Mercury TOPAZ......yup I said it....TOPAZ...

It got me to thinking about my very first car...Baby Blue Plymouth HORIZON...that thing rocked, right up until I crashed it on a rock and totalled it.

Then I remembered my 2nd car.... THe GOLD HOOPDEE! A 1984 Chrysler Fifth Avenue, GOLD with shag brown carpet. Possibly the most comfortable car ever. At one point I fit the entire Sterling Hgts HIGH School Dance team in the back...HOT!

Cannot forget my 1993 Jeep Wrangler. I was 17, what a great vehicle. So fun. 2.5 litre (YUCK) Stick... still sweet despite the engine.

Anyway... those were my high school vehicles. After I graduated I eventually sold the Jeep and moved on to my Ford Trucks but that is another POST.

Time to Get Organized

I've been thinking about how I need a nice organizational tool to keep track of info (phone numbers, addys, calendar items, etc). Planners are nice, but you have to reenter stuff each year and that's a pain. So, I've become quite intrigued by the idea of a Palm Pilot or something along that line. Any thoughts or advice?

Some People...are just not funny. I really wish they'd learn this and stop putting me through daily misery of listening to them TRY to be funny. Even with headphones on I can hear it! Man...is it Friday yet?

freshy clean

We went to Rexy's Thai at Woodward and 13 for lunch today. There were no tables available and we had to wait a few minutes. That's a first. We finally got seated and place our orders and all was well until the Bok Choy Of Doom struck. Somehow, a peice of BoK Choy Of Doom managed to inflict a horrible nagging pain on my poor gums. (upper left, near the not-removed wisdom tooth. so, if you don't have any of yours left, I'm smarter than you) It felt like the Bok Choy Of Doom had taken residence between teeth, yet there was no evidence to support that theory. I worked at it with a toothpick for a while but didn't really get anywhere. I didn't wan't to lose my battle with the evil green, so when we got back to the office, I walked over tot he dollar store and for $4 got a toothbrush, toothpaste, knockoff listerene and some name brand floss. I went to town like I was 30 minutes from a scheduled meeting with the dentist. I'm still a little achy up there, but I'm thinking it was from stabbing my gum repeatedly with the toothpick. Curse you Bok Choy Of Doom. Curse you.

p.s. the dollar store sells stuff really cheap

Thanks for lunch on Saturday Haywood! I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say that we had a great time. It was nice to meet the family and realize exactly how small this world can be!

Against my better judgement I'm thinking of getting a vanity plate. Pacman is available, the question is:

I'm pretty sure I know which way I'm going - but whaddaya think? PAC-MAN is the official "spelling" but hyphens are not allowed.

This week is our company's one year anniversary. We just had a mega long staff meeting that ended with super tasty chocolate chip cookies! Friday is a half day with lunch at Apple Buffet! Bring on the Chinese!

Sour Pop Sticks

Remember those wax sticks with liquid in them? Well, we bought some sour ones from Party City. All I can say is: Yuck!
