Ok, so.. roaches. No, I don't have them, but apparently someone who recently moved got them from the UHaul truck. Yuck.
They were told there were chinese roaches?
So... how do you tell if its a chinese roach?
No gimick this friday, just your plain old automaticrabbit good times...
bring it.
So, I had this sorority big sister/lil sister dinner on Saturday. My two little sisters went in together and bought me one of those little aqua tanks that you get at the mall. It had a cute little tiny froggy in it. They named him Hopper. Well, Hopper gets fed every other day. So, yesterday, Jim and I fed him according to the instructions. About an hour later, I notice the water looks super cloudy. We decide we over fed him and that we should change the water so we don't kill him. Now, you can't use tap water because of the chlorine, so I use bottled water. About 2 hours later, Hopper is lying upside down in the tree in his little tank. I think it is correct to say that he has passed away. I'm thinking that the bottled water was part of the problem. The instructions say to use Spring Water. I think the bottled water wasn't any good. I guess the store said that if he dies in the first 2 weeks, I get to take him back and get another (I have the receipt). So, I think I need to go out tonight and get a new pet. Hopper was so cute though...I am a terrible person :(
It seems like we all may need a little stress relief, so today is Haiku Friday! Post a haiku here!
Its Haiku Friday
Express all of your feelings
Just be humorous
Tell your friends! Pass it along... we need many many haiku!
It has begun. God bless us all. I hope it is over soon.
Don't know what else to say. I just know I cannot stop thinking about it.
After Deana mentioned that she was so out of food that she made french toast for dinner, I decided that even though I was not out of food, I would try to do the same. French toast is pretty yummy. I actually had fresh eggs and fresh milk. Well, reasonably fresh eggs, but whatever. I'm eating it, not you. So, into the bowl goes an egg, which i mess up real good with a fork, dump in some milk, a dash of cinnamon and stir. Pop in the bread as I start getting a pan ready. Here we go! Um....
huh.
hmmmm..
The bread is, uh, melted.
OK. So that didn't work out too well. You have to remember that I probably haven't done this since I was about 12. I'm sure there was supervision then too. Considering I almost burned down my house making lasagna, I probably should have stuck to microwave bagel bites. But, again, whatever.
Having learned my quick dunk lesson, I managed to make a few pieces of yummy toast. I was getting about 2 slices per egg. I made four, topped them with more cinnamon and some maple syrup, and wondered why I don't make french toast more often.....
So.. this totally new thing seems to be working ok. We are totally backed by a MySQL database now - no more berkley db files - ROCK!
The search actually works pretty good too! I highly encourage more posting... especially since my cam is back up! (as sporatic as it may be...).
171... just sayin.
Wow - new look, new post, new id...and it all works! Rock!
St. Patrick's Day: Have a pint or two for me...

Fishing trip pics have been added to the site!
ROCK!
Friday I will be back at home base for work. I will take with me tall pig, some books and my cam. I'll be back in action soon!
I have a new idea for a part of the website to add to the entertainment. There have also been rumor of a "best of cam" section. Any other ideas? Get organizing on your best of cam stuff!
That I'm not aware of requiring something to go wrong just when you're having a good day. It never fails. Ever.
The bad news phone call was made worse by the guy on the other end of it. Let me program it for you.

Hey, it's Paczki Day! I don't know if I can handle eating one...I haven't had a doughnut in forever, let alone one with 30 g of fat (or however many it has).
Lent starts tomorrow - that means no more alcohol for Dee and Mike. I do have a Lent Claus - my birthday is a *free* day, so I can drink that day - but that's it. Needless to say, there may be a trip to Brady's being planned for after work today...
