"Santa To Get Politically Correct"
In the wake of the recent Don Imus/Rutgers Women's basketball team brouhaha, Santa Claus has announced that he is busy assembling a powerful cadre of attorneys, public relations experts and e-Prize promotion mavens. Apparently, "Red Thunder" (as he is known in the weekly Tuesday Night Elf Basketball League) is a little nervous about job security.
The issues at hand... damage control and the need to replace his patented, and often used, "Ho, Ho, Ho" holiday salutation with one that is less offensive. Hanging in the balance is a fortune in salary, endorsements and public appearance fees estimated to be in excess of $100 billion.
Santa is circling the wagons on the heels of statements released by United States toy maker mega-giants Hasbro, Mattel and Tyco announcing their intent to replace Santa with some guy named "Fat Dave" in all future Christmas toy promotions.
Alf Blitzen, president of Elf Local 1225, refused comment upon hearing the news.
