Uhm yeah....I think I am going to put gas into my truck every day, that way, I always get the best price - until it starts coming down at least (laughs). I can't wait to sell my house, I am immediately going to rent a flat in Dearborn's historical district and ride my mountain bike to work (till winter at least)...and hey, if you know someone looking - http://www.27666.info
(shameless plug)
The only thing keeping me from being completely angry about gas prices is the fact that I'll be out of town for most of the next 2 weeks. I wonder if all of the cabs are going to cost more though...at least it's not my money!

Re: New Policy - Travel Expenses
Effective immediately, all Techni-Serve employees are now responsible for their own mileage expenses, rental cars and cab fares when traveling on company business. We regret having to implement this new policy, but with gas prices skyrocketing to new all-time highs it was necessary to do this in order for our company to remain profitable in the months to come.
Suggested alternative methods of transportation you might want to consider in order to save money: Walking; take up jogging; thumbing a ride from a stranger; hopping into the back of someone's pickup when they're not looking if they happen to be going in your direction; dog sled (suggestion from our Alaska Division..thanks guys); row boat or canoe, etc. Hey, have some fun with it, be creative. Just don't submit an expense form, cause we ain't paying it.
Thank you.

Ditto what Dee said!
2 weeks of travel that's company paid!! Only dissappointment ... flying commercial since the company jet would be too expensive :( and driving to the airport. But I just found out that all time upon entering the airport and driving to the plants is billable :)
Dee -- going anywhere fun? I will be in St. Louis, which will be fun if I am not working the entire time. Then New Hope, Missouri ... only 1 hotel in town which says it all for that week.
