The lenses for my glasses are old and scratched up anyway. The cost to replace them is probably half what it would cost for the surgery...

Good timing Dee. You want to be sure and get this procedure done well in advance of your wedding date. This way, Jim's eyes will be working properly by the time you hit the altar. You don't want him planting a big smooch on the best man when the priest says, "you may kiss your bride."

I am one of those guys who cannot have Lasik. It sucks. I am very blind as well.

I heard that LAsik is good for people 0- Minus 22 but for those of us farsighted they can only correct up to a +3 or 4.... I am a +10...

I think they can go up to a 9 now.

Best thing I ever had done. Insurance covered it - so that was my main motivation. If I had known previously how good I would see, I would have paid for it sooner.

I never wore contacts before - just glasses, but I never EVER saw as well as I did after that surgery. I hope you can get it done. Enjoy the drugs too!

Too bad insurance won't cover it still! That would be pretty cool. Jim's right though - his lenses are pretty pricey - might as well get the surgery if possible!

I'm pretty sure that Mike's mom even thought Todd looked scary after surgery! It just took a little bit to get used to you without glasses! I don't even notice anymore!

I've seen Todd in glass -- still adorable -- but I think I would notice if he started wearing them again :) What happens as you get older? Are they guaranteed to never get worse?

I wish I could get rid of mine too!! Bought a new pair in August, in October the screw fell out along with the lens which cracked! Insurance won't cover for another 2 years! So I am just wearing my 5 year old ones. (I came across the newer ones the other day and put them on by mistake - even with one lens missing everything was just a bit nicer to look at).

Your eyes will get worse over time... just part of aging.

The place I went to has free "tune ups". Go in, get a normal exam and if its needed - lazer again.

So awesome.

Baseball update.....My son Jon is hitting .385 as his high school's lead off hitter and center fielder. On base percentage of .545 and 12 stolen bases. Their record is 8 - 3 so far this year.

I'm off to another game. GO CARDINALS!!!

High School Baseball Update....

Mentor Cardinals win another league game. Team's record is a sterling 9 - 3.

Jon went 4 - 5 with four rbi from the lead off spot. He's now batting an even .400 for the year. Look out Ted Williams.
