My house doesn't have a glass or screen door on the front door. We never got around to dealing with it last year, but I decided I'd really like one for this year. There are a couple doors hanging out in our garage, so Jim pulled them down last night and cleaned them off. He brought it to the front door where he discovered that the door is about 1/4 or 1/2 inch too wide for our door frame. Now we have to work around that. Why can't things just be simple? I now understand why the door wasn't on there when we bought the house - Chauncey probably didn't have a clue what to do about it!

Did anyone see the story on the news about the yard gnome that was kidnapped?
We caught the end of the story over the weekend on the Kalamazoo news...figured it was a Kalamazoo story. Then last night my neighbor has channel 5 over --- my neighbor with 100 gnomes in their yard. Apparently it was their little yard statue.
(I could point out some neighborhood statues to those thinking of doing this in the future -- but they don't need to be returned!! :)

I don't think it was their statue who traveled the world with kidnappers though...probably just a piece on how they would feel if it had been one of theirs.
