Yup...

My plant is growing good - I wonder what adult basil looks like.

I built a snowman. It has stick arms, stick eyes and a stick mouth. He kinda leans. I hope he doesn't fall over. He has some leaves stuck on him. It makes him look kinda dirty. He needs a snow bath.

I need to scoop dog poop - its hard to find it under the snow.

I want to go fishing.

I had some humous (sp?) for lunch today. Rocked it on a pita. It was nice. Yasmeen bakery has a LOT of different food.

The ice chooers are clicking a lot of ads now.

Should I take off St. Patricks day?

Your spelling is correct, but your comment about Yasmeen Bakery is dead wrong. Absolute craptastic. Their pita bread tastes like cardboard. I thought you would have learned by now that no one makes better humous than a member of the Esshaki family.

Quite the 180 from college when you wouldn't even try it when my mom would make it. Todd's all grown up.

Depending on what type of basil plant Bazhilla is, they usually sprout dome-shaped white flowers.

I have a snowman by my birdfeeder. The birds use him for an outhouse. He needs a bath too.

No dog poop to worry about. Lots of rabbit turds though. They hang out with the birds by the birdfeeder.

I'm going to Canada fishing on July 16th. Only 143 more days!

Nothing for lunch today.

Ice chooers...hehehehe!

Definitely skip out on St. Patty's.

I had humous for dinner last night. I had a half hour to kill and I was hungry, so I thought it would be a nice cheap dinner. It took all my will power to not get the chicken shawarma too. I didn't want to breathe garlic breate all night. It's soooooo tasty though! I'm addicted.

Dee, I hope you're not referring to La Shish...just so you know, it's the McDonalds of Arabic food. Kind of like how you guys view Olive Garden as crap Italian food.

Posted by: Jeff at February 24, 2005 09:53 AM

Ehhhh.....My uncle, Don Jimmy "Twelve Toes" Tuscanetti, says there is no such thing as "crap Italian food." He want's to know what size you wear in cement shoes.

did someone say never-ending breadsticks!!

I don't care if the pasta is any good. Bring on the bread!

Actually, I've never been to La Shish. I went to Flaming Kabob. I think it's pretty good, but I'm not an expert, so I could be wrong.

About Olive Garden: I agree that there is no such thing as crap Italian food, but Olive Garden is definitely not the greatest. I try to avoid going there if at all possible.

What's the difference between a hippopotamus and my Italian grandmother?

Give up?

A black dress.

hummous is made from chic peas and tahini and lemon juice and sometimes salt or garlic. you smash them all together, and voila.

tahini is actually puree of sesame seeds. so i guess the sesame seeds get smashed, and then smashed again with the chic peas. re-smashed seeds.

voila comes from the french, and literally means, "see there", as opposed to voici, which means, "see here".

i'm becoming quite fond of the super genius input.

Posted by: todd at February 28, 2005 02:44 PM

Ed, you forgot the most important ingredient, olive oil. Dee, can I get an amen on that one?

And garlic and salt are absolutely necessary if you want to get any sort of flavor in there.

Tahini rocks. It's more like a peanut butter, just made up of sesame seeds instead.

Went to Andiamos Saturday for the 1st time -- WOW unbelievably tasty food & enough for a doggie bag! Just reheating the leftovers.

Don't dine at fancy pants restaurants too often and am usually not impressed, but even the millions of mushrooms were pretty good (just started tolerating mushrooms in the last year)!
Olive oil, salt/pepper, and parmesean cheese with the bread -- I had that at Castaldi's once and hated it -- this was WAY better than butter and I am a butter finatic.

Andiamo's is pretty good Italian food. And, AMEN to the olive oil! It's a wonderful cooking ingredient. I have a huge Costco size Olive Oil at home - wouldn't want to run out. :)
