I emailed Circuit City about my Shuffleupagus yesterday because it hadn't shipped yet (and should have shipped a couple days ago). Last night, I received an email back. I don't know if it is in response to mine email or just a generic blast sent out to all purchasers of the Shuffle...
Email I received from Circuit City:
************************************************
Dear valued customer,
Thank you for pre-ordering the iPod Shuffle. Due to
manufacturer inventory delays, we expect to ship your iPod
Shuffle no later than Wednesday, Feb. 9. If you have any
questions, please reply to this email.
Thanks for shopping with circuitcity.com and we hope you shop
again with us soon!
************************************************
Now, I suppose it's not that much longer to wait, and maybe it is the manufacturers fault, but I just don't understand how you can list an item IN YOUR INVENTORY for someone to buy online and then suddenly not have any to ship. Pretty lame if you ask me. I will just have to have a little patience (which, for those of you who know me, know is asking a lot from me) and hope it ships a little early.
Posted by dee at January 28, 2005 12:17 PMFunny, BEST BUY has them listed as IN-STOCK.
hehehe! Told ya.
These places are all alike. It's like their newspaper advertisements. They run an advertisement on Wednesday for their Sunday sale. "Look....there's the thing-a-magig I've been looking for! Awright!"
Then when you arrive at their establishment at 9:00am on Sunday, "Sorry...we're all out!
"Thank you! Who do I kill?"
Posted by: haywood at January 28, 2005 12:45 PMIt must just be that the small ones are out. Best Buy and Circuit City both have the 1 G in stock, but not the one that I ordered. Guess I should have spent more money!
Posted by: dee at January 28, 2005 12:49 PMEither that Dee, or you somehow need to get on the all important, sacred "Dear VERY valued customer" list.
Posted by: haywood at January 28, 2005 12:52 PMCall Circuit City. The offices and complain - I bet they will send you a gift card or something. You'd be surprised how they react to upset people bitching about websites that have lies on them.
They did NOT have them in stock... Plain and simple.
Posted by: todd at January 28, 2005 01:14 PMForget Apple. I went with this:
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=55-125-004&depa=0
So worth it for the price. It works flawlessly. Pretty much the same premise as the shufflesauras, but no worries over the lithium battery going bad on me or paying $30+ for each and every accessory you need for the thing.
