My Car

My car has just over 35,000 miles. I've been meaning to call to make an appointment for it's 30,000 mile maintenance check, but I've been lazy. I was told it was going to cost over $600 and I really didn't feel like spending that much.

Well, on the way to work this morning, the 'BRAKE' light kept coming on in the dash. So, I did some research and there are 2 recalls out for me right now - one that deals with the ABS sensor, so I'm hoping that's why the BRAKE light was on. I decided to call for an appointment and the guy said that they were bored and if I got my car there within the hour, I could have it back by 5:00 tonight. Not bad! So I took it up there (and Mike was nice enough to follow me and drive me back to work) and the guy said 5:00 was still a good estimate for return time. And, he said it's only $385 (plus tax) - way less than I was expecting! This way, on the off chance that they find something wrong, I won't be completely angry about paying for it because I'm paying so much less than expected. Hopefully, nothing else is wrong though (more money for Vegas that way!!).

And, my car will be super happy and healthy for the wonderful Michigan winter.

Side Note: One more week til Vegas!!

Just curious but what are they doing for 380 bucks?

Replace engine oil and filter tube, latches and hinges, top off fluid levels, set tire psi, inspect brakes and lines/hoses, inspect suspension and steering, rotate wheels, replace air filter and fuel filter, inspect belts and cooling hoses, perform bg fuel induction serive, add bg oil supplement.

Maybe not worth it, but easier to do it all in one place. Plus, it's way less than the other dealer quoted me, so I'll take it.

Wow....that's alot for $380...tell Todd that "Air Force Amy" at The Bunny Ranch has the same special going right now.
