I had a coupon for The Great Indoors that expired on Saturday, so I conned Jim into going out there with me this weekend (conned = promised we could get dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings). We bought new knobs for our kitchen cabinets. The gold ones were driving me crazy. Everything in the house is gold! Now we have nice shiny black metallic ones. They totally make a difference! I also got a pretty cool spice rack while we were there too. They have lots of cool stuff! Tonight's improvement task is to cut the lawn. It's been a while. It's okay though, because my neighbors haven't cut theirs in a while either. My side of the street is the slacker side. :)

Yard Work = sick people!
The only reason I am here is because my neighbors decided to start their lawn mower at 7:55 this morning. Figured I wasn't falling back asleep. Todd helped me pick up crab apples for 3 HOURS yesterday then we started prepping the pool for closing. 62 degree water is really cold.
4 people out sick today (wish I was one). I bet they were all doing yard work. Dee, your improvements were inspiring -- wish we had stayed inside. I've been wanting new knobs too :)
BTW, does anyone want about 150 lbs of crab apples? Wish I knew what purpose they could possibly serve. I think we're cutting the tree down in the next few weeks. TIMBER!!

Hey Jodi, bring those crab apples to work and send out a mass e-mail telling people you brought in a special treat for all to enjoy. Then, pick a vacant cube and dump them into a pile. That would rock.
Posted by: Jeff at October 4, 2004 10:33 AMI'll keep that in mind for when my last day arrives. Hauling them in would be a bit of a pain though.
You really think the gold knobs are tacky? I was gonna ask Dee for her old ones to put up with the gold-flecked mirrors, foil wallpaper, and gold shag carpet I wanted to use for my disco room. I can't believe my basement flooded and ruined all the original decor....I miss the gold, shag carpeted bar :(
