What is your favorite cheese?
Mine is currently pepper jack. I do have quite the love for velveeta though.
Posted by todd at April 27, 2004 10:17 AMhot.
I like extra-sharp cheddar the best. Lately I've been getting more into blue/gorganzola/etc.
Posted by: mike at April 27, 2004 10:24 AMI'm Italian, so I like Asiago Pressato or a nice Pescorino Marzolino. However, you can't beat Laughing Cow Lite if you're in a pinch.
Posted by: Jim #1 at April 27, 2004 10:33 AMAlso being an Italian, I have to say I'm a Romano fan (if we're talking about cheese to add to pasta). If we're talking about eating cheese alone, then I'm all for cheddar. Cheese is so tasty! Feta is great too - especially on salads. Oh! One more...Cosi has a turkey sandwich with honey mustard dressing and brie. It's the best!!
Posted by: Dee at April 27, 2004 10:37 AMHoffmann's SUPER Hot Pepper jack!
Posted by: eric at April 27, 2004 11:00 AMThat SUPER hot is HOT!!
Posted by: todd at April 27, 2004 11:07 AMI also bought some feta for the first time. I thought I wasn't really a Greek salad sort of guy, but maybe my tastes have changed.
Let's not forget about the classic aged Swiss here. Great on crackers.
Posted by: mike at April 27, 2004 11:10 AMI tried Dairy Mart's Hot Pepper Cheese the other day. It was very tasty. Tastes great on Ritz crackers and can liven up a salad.
Posted by: Jim #1 at April 27, 2004 11:15 AMHey Todd - aren't you going to mention anything about squeeze cheese?!
Posted by: Dee at April 27, 2004 11:46 AMFavorite cheese? Todd and Mike's senses of humor :)
Posted by: Jeff at April 27, 2004 12:34 PMSqueeze Cheeze.. hmm I'm not sure if its cheese - but it is cheese enough for me!
Posted by: todd at April 27, 2004 12:55 PMNobody brought up string cheese...
Posted by: another jim at April 27, 2004 01:43 PMmmmmm...string cheese!!!
Posted by: Dee at April 27, 2004 01:44 PMWhat do you call cheese that's not yours?
Nacho Cheese :D)
Posted by: Jim #1 at April 27, 2004 01:48 PMnice joke. but in all seriousness...nacho cheese is the best! especially when it's at the movie theater :)
Posted by: Dee at April 27, 2004 02:05 PMHow about "Easy Cheese" from the originators of haute cuisine at Nabisco. The next time you really want to impress the little lady, squirt some of this stuff on a plate of saltines. Take it from me guys, nothing impresses a gal more than food dispensed from aerosol cans. It comes in three flavors.....American, Sharp Cheedar and Nacho Cheese. And if you have any left over after your date, you can use it to wax your car.
Remember, always wear protective goggles when operating aerosol food and never dispense it near a flame.
Posted by: Jim #1 at April 27, 2004 04:06 PM1)Winschuler Bar Cheese used on crackers 2)Romano cheese sprinkled on pasta 3) after consuming the previous two items and a couple Labatt's; cutting cheese
Posted by: Jim #2 at April 27, 2004 07:30 PMNothing beats a nice Dill Havarti. Or a good smelly french cheese on a cracker with some wine! I also like that nasty Tostitos brand queso.
Posted by: Maria at April 27, 2004 07:49 PMI love that stupid queso - sold right by the chips. Why are we posting so late at night!
Posted by: todd at April 27, 2004 10:31 PMI gotta throw in another Italian cheese. I really like Fontinella, sliced thin. The best is distributed by Stella (I don't know her last name!)
You like all the Italian cheeses. Whenever I'm home for spaghetti, my dad likes to cut pieces of the cheese and eat it, while my mom tells him to save some for the rest of us to use on the spaghetti :)
Posted by: Dee at April 28, 2004 11:06 AMI had "Drunken Goat" cheese the other day. Goat cheese marinated in wine. It was ok.
I now have a nice granite cheese display so I will be serving it more often when company comes over.
Posted by: eric at April 28, 2004 11:10 AMHow many beers does it take to get the goat drunk?
Posted by: Ray at April 29, 2004 08:14 AMI was wondering that too! hehehehehe
Posted by: Dee at April 29, 2004 08:30 AM5 beers to be exact!
