So, Mike and I decided to be good little Catholics and go to mass this morning at 6:30 AM. Yes, you read that correctly - 6:30 AM. I get there early (of course) and see that there is only one other car in the parking lot. I assumed that I was just early. So, when Mike showed up, we got out of our cars and tried the door .... LOCKED!
Very strange. We tried to be good and it failed. We ended up going next door and having breakfast at IHOP. Not quite as religious, but very very tasty. :)

Posted by: mike at April 9, 2004 04:05 PMYou just explained why I don't attend mass anymore...besides, it's common knowledge that mass is actually short for, "massive head trauma." I mean, between trying to stay awake and then banging your head on the pew when you have to kneel for prayer all make for some serious head injury.
Posted by: Jeff at April 12, 2004 10:20 AMactually, there isnt mass on good friday. we are just morons. i asked my mom and she said that there are no services between thursday night and saturday night. you can go to stations of the cross and things like that, but no mass.
oh well - we tried.
Posted by: Dee at April 12, 2004 10:24 AMActually, you and Mike were right. Jenn and I attended mass on Friday. They just use the left over host from Holy Thursday.
It's the thought that counts ;-)
Posted by: Jason at April 12, 2004 02:56 PMYup, Jason is correct. My parents attended mass on Friday. Your church probably gets a low turnout on a regular basis, so they cut back their schedule. Something like that, I'm guessing.
