I put on a new back door finally. It even opens and closes! That made the house and myself nice and cold last night. I just put the door in, not a new jamb - trying to decide if I like it or not. Maybe its just me over scrutinizing... who knows. I kept the jamb, so i could put it in but that just seems like a lot of work!
Hmmm... i wonder if it is even spelled jamb? jam? door jamb?

Posted by: Dee at October 23, 2003 08:11 AMI'm pretty sure that it's JAMB.
You would look odd if you went to a concert and jambed.
Don't try to jam the jamb when installing, otherwise you will have to purchase another door.
The preferred approach is to purchases an all-in-one door & jamb combination, But then again, you only live in Royal Oak and not Birmingham and the Great Dane will get the most use out of it.
