French Toast

After Deana mentioned that she was so out of food that she made french toast for dinner, I decided that even though I was not out of food, I would try to do the same. French toast is pretty yummy. I actually had fresh eggs and fresh milk. Well, reasonably fresh eggs, but whatever. I'm eating it, not you. So, into the bowl goes an egg, which i mess up real good with a fork, dump in some milk, a dash of cinnamon and stir. Pop in the bread as I start getting a pan ready. Here we go! Um....

huh.

hmmmm..

The bread is, uh, melted.

OK. So that didn't work out too well. You have to remember that I probably haven't done this since I was about 12. I'm sure there was supervision then too. Considering I almost burned down my house making lasagna, I probably should have stuck to microwave bagel bites. But, again, whatever.

Having learned my quick dunk lesson, I managed to make a few pieces of yummy toast. I was getting about 2 slices per egg. I made four, topped them with more cinnamon and some maple syrup, and wondered why I don't make french toast more often.....

I too made french toast but it was Sunday breakfest. I missed the step the requires a little milk with the beaten egg. Threw it in the pan, out came a fried egg attached to a piece of bread. Whatever, it was etable.

I was never into the sweet breakfast stuff. Pancakces, waffles... not my bag. I'm more of an eggs and meat kinda guy.

Toast is good.
